Open the door writing workshop

Xanadu (private residence), available via email, Portland, OR

This workshop will address things like writers block, being new to writing, or having an uneasy relationship to your writing process. We'll do writing exercises and group feedback sessions, and you'll leave with some works in progress and resources to help you keep going. This class is $25, due upon registration via PayPal. If you're looking for the low income rate ($15), please contact me directly--priority given to QTPOC and disabled folks: sossity@gmail.com.

Please note: Class size is limited to 6 people, so only register if you're committed to coming as otherwise you will be negatively impacting both me and other folks who want to attend. Once you've registered, I'll send you the address--it's in North Portland, a scent free, animal free house with 5 steps to get in, but accessible afterwards. Please be sure to bring your preferred writing mediums and any snacks you need. On street parking, on bus lines #6 and #44.

Honey & Vinegar: Recipe for an Outlaw gives an intimate look at how the values and hopes of the 1960s carried through into the queer activism of the 1990s. It's a story told from various locations including ashrams, community housing, and not so great neighborhoods from the middle of Arizona to the middle of Florida, and back again. Exploring issues of class, family, embodiment, sexuality, identity, and agency in an illustrated series of vignettes that blur the lines between poetry and prose, Honey & Vinegar is a scrapbook of resistance.
