Queer Memoir is NYC's longest-running and most ridiculously earnest multi-venue themed LGBT storytelling show and an event chosen as an Obama White House Champion of Change nominee. In this special livestream edition, we're bringing storytellers from as far as we can find 'em to share stories around the theme POLYAMORY.
As we protect our most vulnerable populations from COVID-19 and practice social distancing, Foglifter is responding to the marginalized communities’ necessary call to maintain connection as we face times of great uncertainty, challenges, and cancellations. Foglifter believes that we can support each other and reduce isolation’s detrimental effects through the literary arts and community. Foglifter is launching a virtual reading series and open mic, so we can see / hear and be seen / heard by each other. This is a platform for the entire LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together.

This workshop will address things like writers block, being new to writing, or having an uneasy relationship to your writing process. We'll do writing exercises and group feedback sessions, and you'll leave with some works in progress and resources to help you keep going. This class is $25, due upon registration via PayPal. If you're looking for the low income rate ($15), please contact me directly--priority given to QTPOC and disabled folks: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: Class size is limited to 6 people, so only register if you're committed to coming as otherwise you will be negatively impacting both me and other folks who want to attend. Once you've registered, I'll send you the address--it's in North Portland, a scent free, animal free house with 5 steps to get in, but accessible afterwards. Please be sure to bring your preferred writing mediums and any snacks you need. On street parking, on bus lines #6 and #44.
