Sossity Chiricuzio is a fat femme outlaw poet, a working class crip storyteller. What her friends parents often referred to as a bad influence, and possibly still do.
A Lambda Fellow and the Creative Non-Fiction Editor for Gertrude Press and Dirty Queer Journal, she writes as activism, connection, and survival. She is the author of the memoir Honey & Vinegar: Recipe for an Outlaw (Beaten Track Publishing, Nov 2019), and is half of the performance duo Sparkle & truth.
Her work can be found in a variety of publications including Salty, Rooted in Rights, Stirring, Argot, Gertrude, Crab Fat, great weather for MEDIA, Lunch Ticket, Porkbelly Press, Rogue Agent, NANO fiction, Unchaste, and Atlas and Alice, as well as anthologies like Say Please, The Remedy: Queer And Trans Voices On Health And Health Care, Glitter and Grit: Queer Performance from the Heels on Wheels Femme Galaxy, Emerge: 2015 Lambda Fellows Anthology, the Procyon Science Fiction Anthology 2016, and Not My President.
Sossity lives and works in Portland, OR, on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many other tribes who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
